Vacation Bonus
At Celadon Canada, we offer outstanding vacation bonuses. Vacation time will be earned at 1 week for every 30,000 miles up to a maximum of 5 weeks every 12 months including the Federally Mandated Vacation time. Vacation pay will be paid twice a year in June and December according to the following schedule:
  • 4% of gross salary if employed from 0 - 60 months
  • 6% of gross salary if employed from 61 - 120 months
  • 8% of gross salary if employed from 121 months +
Of course you get to enjoy the 9 statutory holidays paid at 1/20th of your last 4 paychecks.

Guaranteed Detention Pay
After two hours of waiting for loading/unloading, Company Drivers are paid $15.00 per hour (split for Teams). Capped limits per event are set at $150.00 per 24-hour period for Company Drivers. Detention pay is guaranteed regardless if the customer reimburses Celadon Canada or not.

Border Crossing Pay
For all non-FAST certified border crossings, we pay a flat fee to Company Drivers at a rate of $15.00 (split for Teams).

Extra Stop Pay
While the LTL portion of our business remains low, all extra stops between initial pick-up and delivery, are paid at the rate schedule as follows:

Layovers
After a 24-hour period, Company Drivers will be paid $50.00. Payouts will be awarded after each complete 24-hour period per driver, as necessary. Celadon Canada’s spin times remain very good.

Safety Bonus
1 cent per mile, calculated quarterly and paid annually up to $1,400 for safe production as per program. (Split for teams)

Pre-Pass
Celadon Canada utilizes Pre-Pass and our drivers love it!

Mostly between Southwestern Ontario and Southwestern and/or Southeastern U.S.A.

Days Out / Home Time
10-14 days out is all that’s required. Earn 1 day off for every 7 days of running. Stopping by the house for ½ day or taking 8 hr. break at home is not your day off!

Average Miles:
Solo: 2,500 – 3,200 miles per week.
Teams: 4,500 – 5,500 miles per week.

Average Weekly Pay:
Solo: $1,075 - $1,375 per week
Teams: $2,400 - $2,950 split per week
