Lauren Howard, President of Truckload Operations for Celadon Group, Inc., has been selected as a finalist for Junior Achievement's “Indiana’s Best and Brightest Award” for a second year in a row.
There are 100 finalists for the Best and Brightest Award, and Howard is among ten professionals in the manufacturing, retail and service category under the age of 40 who will be honored on October 15 at the Ivy Tech Corporate College and Culinary Center. The event was created to recognize up-and-coming young professionals who will be the next generation of community leaders.
“To be selected as one of ten finalists from central Indiana's many very talented leaders making a contribution in this sector is quite humbling!” Howard said. “It really is a testament to the many wonderful opportunities Celadon has given me to not only be a leader within our industry but also to make a difference in Central Indiana.”
Howard joined Celadon in July 2012 as Customer Service Manager. She was named Director of Customer Service in February 2013 and promoted to Vice President of Customer Service in January 2014. She was promoted in April 2015 to her current position of President of Truckload Operations.
Prior to her time at Celadon, Howard served as Director of Communications for the University of Indianapolis. She also held a communications and public relations positions at the Indianapolis Association for the Education of Young Children and Indianapolis Public Schools.
Howard graduated from Butler University with a bachelor’s degree in communications, and she holds an MBA in marketing from the University of Indianapolis.
